Community Policy & Management Team

The Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) determines local policies and procedures regarding using CSA funds and operating procedures within the statutory framework of the Act.  Members of the CPMT are local agency leaders with the authority to commit their agency’s expertise, resources, and funding to provide services to the community’s youth and families.  The CPMT also appoints members to the Family Assessment & Planning Team (FAPT).

Members of the CPMT shall include: 

  • at least one elected official or appointed official or designee for the local governing body;
  • local agency heads or designees from Department of Social Services, Community Services Board, Juvenile Court Services Unit, Public Schools, and the Health Department;
  • a representative of a private organization for children’s or family services;
  • a parent representative (see CSA Parent Representative Application)

CPMT meetings are held the second Wednesday every month at 2:30 P.M. at the Montgomery County Health and Human Services Building.

CSA Parent Representative Application

Montgomery County actively recruits for parent representatives for the Family Assessment & Planning Team (FAPT) and the Community Policy & Management Team (CPMT). A parent representative cannot be an employee of any public or private program which serves children/families. Whenever possible, we seek parents whose children have received services and supports through the FAPT process. The ideal individual is a parent that shows leadership skills, is a strong advocate for children/families, and has a level of compassion and interest in the well-being of other children and families. A parent representative must complete a Statement of Economic Interest/Conflict of Interest Form for appointment. Parent representatives are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to the CPMT.
