September 25, 2023 - Special Use Permit: Contractor’s Storage Yard, John and Stacy Lloyd

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 & 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on September 25, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Board of Supervisors intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:

A request by John and Stacy Lloyd for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow a Contractor’s Storage Yard, as defined in the Zoning Ordinance, on vacant land.  The property is located at the intersection of Batts Road (Private) and Coal Bank Hollow Road (St. Rt. 649), approximately 0.01 miles from the intersection of South Jefferson Forest Lane (St. Rt. 818) and Coal Bank Hollow Road. The property is further identified as Tax Maps 028-A 15 and 028-A 16 (Parcel IDs: 009224 and 009225), 6.8 acres, zoned Agricultural (A-1) in the Mount Tabor Magisterial District.  The property currently lies in an area designated as Residential Transition in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
