In the New River Valley Emergency Communications Regional Authority’s (NRV 911) efforts to provide quality and reliable 911 dispatch and emergency communication services, the NRV 911 Board extends sincere gratitude to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for its continued operational support of the authority.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has played a vital role in ensuring NRV 911 has been able to continue to deliver the best service possible to the region since the resignation of the previous NRV 911 Executive Director in January 2019.
Specifically, the efforts of Montgomery County Sheriff Chief Deputy Brad St. Clair, who has been serving as interim executive director of NRV 911, have been a key driver of NRV 911’s effectiveness during the transition period.
Guided by St. Clair’s leadership and professionalism, NRV 911 has thoroughly evaluated its resources to maximize the promptness of citizen response and public safety personnel service.
“Throughout this process, it has been very clear that it’s our dedicated dispatchers and staff who work tirelessly every single day that ultimately make the 911 Authority run smoothly and effectively,” said St. Clair.
St. Clair has served as chief deputy since 2017 and in public service in Montgomery County since 1999 in a range of law enforcement and emergency management roles, including patrol deputy, shift sergeant, captain of field operations, and dispatcher.
“NRV 911 is the first point of contact the public has when reporting an emergency. On behalf of NRV 911, I want to offer gratitude to Sheriff Hank Partin and Chief Deputy Brad St. Clair for jumping in to make sure citizens have a seamless experience,” said Sherwood Wilson, New River Valley Emergency Communications Regional Authority chair and vice president for operations at Virginia Tech.
In addition, NRV 911 thanks its staff members for their continued hard work in serving citizens and agencies across the New River Valley. Their steadfast commitment to our community is intrinsically linked to authority’s efforts to foster a safe environment for citizens.
