Montgomery County’s advertised budget totals $186.9 million, a $4.8 million increase over the FY17 budget
Montgomery County’s advertised FY2018 budget focuses on issues important for future success: public safety, public schools, facilities and programs, and employees.
The FY18 spending plan of $186.9 million represents a 2.6% increase over the current fiscal year. Of the $4.8 million increase in next fiscal year’s budget, $1 million in new County funding goes to the School Operating Fund.
The real estate tax rate will remain at 89 cents per $100 assessed value. Personal property taxes also will remain the same at $2.55.
