Erica Williams, Clerk of Circuit Court

The Clerk of Circuit Court serves as general record keeper for the County, records land transfers, deeds, mortgages, births, wills, adoptions, divorces, military records, and election results. The Clerk's Office issues marriage licenses, processes applications for passports, name changes, notaries and concealed handgun permits. Due to changes in office procedures required by recent budget cuts, the Circuit Court Clerk's Office now mandates that a specific cover sheet, completed by the filing attorney, be included for all land-related filings and recordings, including deeds, deeds of trust, releases, and assignments.
