The Montgomery County Friends of Animal Care and Control (FACC) provides invaluable volunteer service caring for dogs at the animal shelter. Volunteers provide exercise and socialization for the dogs and increase the adoption and rescue rate by helping to adopt shelter dogs. In addition, the 501c3 group funds veterinary care, and transports dogs to/from vet clinics and to rescue groups.

You can help by adopting your next dog from the shelter, volunteering or making a donation to buy wish list items. Contact FACC through its website, visiting the shelter, 434 Cinnabar Road, Monday through Saturday afternoons or writing: 125 N. Main St., Suite 500, #129, Blacksburg, VA 24060. Montgomery County appreciates all that FACC volunteers do to improve the lives of shelter animals.
