Huckleberry Trail

The Huckleberry Trail extends from the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library in downtown Blacksburg (200 Miller St., SW), across the southern portion of the Virginia Tech campus, through Montgomery County, to the New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg (782 New River Rd.), over Route 114 on a bridge, behind Walmart and the Spradlin Farms development and  on to the Christiansburg Recreation Center (1600 N. Franklin St.). An extension will take the trail to the Jefferson National Forest in Blacksburg. Here is a map of the current trail and descriptions of planned extensions.

Parking is available at the New River Valley Mall, the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library in Blacksburg, the Christiansburg Recreation Center and where the Huckleberry Trail intersects Merrimac Road in Blacksburg. The trail is open to walkers, runners and bikers. Motorized vehicles and horses not allowed.
