Monthly crime maps are put together at the end of each month with data collected from our Records Management System. This data is collected in the Support Services Division of the Sheriff's Office and sent to Montgomery County's Geographic Information Services/Mapping Department where the data is plotted on the map. These are posted in our Office and used as a way for Deputies to have an overall picture of crime in the County over the period of a month. This helps to focus on problem areas for preventive/proactive patrols.
The maps do not include all crimes reported to our Office for the month. These maps typically include property crimes, DUI/drug related crimes, and some crimes against persons.
Monthly crime maps will be updated on a monthly basis.
