The New River Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (NRV-MPO) is a transportation policy-making organization serving the Towns of Blacksburg and Christiansburg, the City of Radford, and portions of Montgomery and Pulaski Country. The MPO provides the information, tools and public input necessary to improve the performance of the transportation system of the region. Future transportation needs are addressed, giving consideration to all possible strategies and the community's vision.

MPO Policy Board and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings are held at the Government Center.
