All dogs four months or older must be vaccinated for rabies. All cats must also be vaccinated for rabies at four months or older, but do not require tags.

All dogs must have a County license obtained from the Treasurer's Office or at the Blacksburg Municipal Building, 300 S. Main St.. Please bring proof of rabies vaccination certification from your veterinarian.

Dog licenses expire Dec. 31 and must be renewed yearly.
