As the county recorder, the Clerk files the following documents, along with several others:
- deeds
- deeds of trust
- certificates of satisfaction
- foreclosures
- homestead deeds
- powers of attorney
- plats
- easements
- covenants & restrictions
All separately notarized riders and other separately notarized documents must have separate cover sheets.
Fees (for deeds and other land transfers)
- Grantor's tax - $1 per $1,000 value
- State tax - 25 cents per $100
- Local tax - .08333 cents per $100
- Clerk's fees
- 1 - 10 pages = $32
- 10 + pages = $46
